Barred Rock Pullet or Cockerel?

Barred rock appears to be a cockerel, gray barring instead of black & large comb & wattles . The photos don't enlarge, I can't see the other bird well enough to offer an opinion

Barred rock is definitely male. At 12 weeks, that comb and wattles are huge and red and must have been that way for some time.... they don't get like that overnight!.. A pullet wouldn't develop head gear like that for several more weeks until she reaches point of lay . Also, the pale barring indicates it's a cockerel.

The EE looks to be a pullet at this stage.

Thank you! I was thinking cockerel as well but I wanted confirmation. Now to figure out what to do with him, as I cannot keep roosters in my neighborhood.
