Barred Rock pullet or cockerel??

Not to high jack the post but what about this one? Roughly 7 to 8 weeks old. Pullet or Roo

The barring says pullet but the wattles say boy. I'm thinking it might be a black sex link boy. They get barring that looks female and the females are all black, no barring.

When does the comb usually develop? S/he is about five weeks now and there is a bit of comb growth with a little pink.
