Hello,
I have a dozen barred rock pullets(?) I have noticed that some of them, most of them are getting pretty red in the combs and wattles. They aren't a whole lot different in size, color, or size of wattles or combs, just redder. They are nearly nine weeks old, but I didn't know if the redder comb and wattles might mean roo? This picture shows one of the ones in question, on the far right front. The others are in the huddle behind it. This was taken when it was really cold out, so they were huddled for warmth(don't know why they wouldn't get in the coop, out of the wind
). I would appreciate opinions, and to see pictures of barred rocks around this age, for comparison. Also, don't know if it matters, but all these chicks(there were 26, others went to my mom's) were fully feathered before they were six weeks old.
Thanks,
Carrie
