Picture #4? Looks kinda like a cockerel. The comb looks a little red.

The first chick is a cockerel. The second one is a bit young to tell yet. Update us with new pics in 4 more weeks.

Update! My the one in the first picture that’s behind the chicken wire now has pointed saddle feathers so to y’all who said that was a cockerel, you’re correct! Here’s updated pictures of both. Does the smaller one (on the right) that is a month younger still look like a pullet to y’all? It feathered out way faster then the cockerel did! Thank goodness because that cockerel was nakey for awhile! Haha! Thanks in advance for responses!

I want to say a pair. But the pattern is soooooo light on the younger bird. @Mosey2003 breeds Barred Plymouth Rocks and could definitely help out. @MysteryChicken has also become interested in the breed recently. Perhaps she could shed some light on their sex.

Fingers crossed for the pullet with whatever that gene is. What does that mean? Lol. I’m new to barred rocks.
