Barred Rock Roo trade for hen NJ????

So we got our first ever chicks from the pullet only bin. My son fell in love with the way barred rocks look and that was his pick. All indications are pointing to her being a him and we are not allowed to keep roosters in the town I live in. He is now going on 6 weeks old. Culling him for the freezer is out of the question my wife and kids would cull me if I even bring it up. I know it's a big ask but was hoping someone in need of a rooster would be able to trade looking for another bar rocked for my son.

He started crowing this morning. I need him gone before neighbors complain. Anyone? He is FREE!!

You can also try to join a local FB chicken group. I'm sure someone would take him.

Thanks all for the responses but I did find a farm to bring him to. Hopefully he gets a nice long life as he is beautiful

I am no expert in being able to sex chickens but you can always try to verify that it is in fact a rooster in the Breed & Gender forum.

I am all for culling roosters, but no matter how many I do I still feel bad. I can’t imagine how I would feel if it was me who had to chop off their heads.
