Barred Rock Roo?

Color suggests female. Especially leg color.

Age would help. It looks like a pullet to me. A rooster would have more comb and wattle development.

Girl!!! Though I was worried till she laid an egg her tail was so long. And a pretty awesome girl at that! She friendlied up when she started laying.

That's crazy! The tail does look rooster-ish. That's great though.
