That's a preening gland and both males and females have it.

Took some more pictures of the chicks this evening. They have more feathering now and the shading on the legs has filled in a bit more. Any more thoughts with the new pics?

Im new at chicks but from what ive read on Barred Rocks(I have 3 of them 4weeks old) It looks like you may have all boys.

edited to say i didnt see the new pics just added and they look like my BR girls. You may have pullets there. they are so cute. do they have names?

I hope they are pullets or at least one. I haven't named them yet..sorta waiting to see what gender they are first. Love the names you picked out, especially Bliss..that's a neat name

I hope you get a girl out of the bunch. I'm hoping for at least one. I saw your post about getting some at TSC at some point, just fyi, that's where these came from and they were labeled pullets. I have no clue and keep researching and looking at pics and barring. Guess time will tell just what they are.
