Can you soak her in some soapy water, salt bath or you can use betadine in your water - try to get the wound with the maggots submerged somehow. I understand she may fight you and panic. If she's difficult, gently swaddle her in a thin towel or fabric (to capture her wings), leaving the area you really want to soak exposed, then put her in the water. Having a helper would be a good idea, do you have a family member, neighbor or friend that can lend you a hand?Well, I've syringed and tweezed it a couple of times, and there are far fewer of them, but still not all gone. I got her to drink some nutri-drenched water, but no eating. She's resting on a towel in the dog crate. My poor girl.
