is there anyway to breed two chickens to get a barred rock?

Um, well, seeing as how there is already a variety of barred in the plymouth rocks...why not just get one of those?

It will take MANY generations of breeding to get a barred plymouth rock (barred rock) back to a "pure" breed from the cross and to have them breed completely true.


As for "creating" a barred plymouth rock....hopefully someone will be able to help you.

Well, as rodriguez says, it took lots of generations to create the Barred Plymouth Rock and have it breed true, so seems a daunting task to try to start over again.

Considering it took more than two to make them I doubt it. Why would you want to when it is easy enough to get hold of them.

Well its hard to find them were i am because no one around here has them or if they do are not selling them or they eggs
