Barred Rocks Good Shepard Poulty Ranch

Here is a link to some of the BRs and CRs I have growing out (lots of pix!!). All BRs for this year are in this album, but only 6 of the young CRs were in the clover field last night. I have another 50+/- of them that were in the fenced pen. The BRs in this are from Reece (Good Shepard) line and Hardy lines

Just click on the first pix and the program will then allow you to view it as an album

Just wanted to say that I've got a trio of these drop dead gorgeous Barred Rocks coming from Jeremy when the weather cools down some. They are already paid for and just sitting waiting now. lol I have been drooling over these birds for the past 6 or 8 months and so decided to take the plunge. I e-mailed and he said he could send me a trio a little later. WOW, jumped right on it and paid for them. Now is the hardest part. I'll probably keep them in my bedroom so nothing gets them. Oh my, aren't we all loosing it. I was going to order some eggs but I have had such poor luck this year with the bators that I just figured it would be worth my paying the extra and getting the live juveniles.
Thanks to all of you for posting all this information on these beautiful Barred Rocks.

Congrats!! You are going to like them better than you can imagine! Big, beautiful and docile birds. I'm getting 2 to 3 eggs almost every day from 3 hens. I did not expect them to be such good layers too..........stan

Great layers, great foragers, and great broodies! What more could one ask for?

Nice to see free ranging birds Scott. Those Columbians look as big as the Barreds. Nice............stan

Stan and Kathy,
Thanks so much for your reply. I hadn't even asked Jeremy about the egg size. I am so glad though that you told me that they are good sized. I am soooooo excited waiting for them. I will probably be setting all the eggs that I get from them for a while to build up a nice flock. Kathy, thanks so much for posting pictures of both yours and Jeremy's birds. I did ask Jeremy if I could post some of his pictures on my site and he did give me permission through e-mail so I did put a few on my site. Thanks so much.
Jim

I have a few. Lost one this morning (heat I guess)....and he was my best looking/sized cockerel. Will try to get some pix tonight when it cools off and they are out in the clover field

Tired of this darn heat....I can't wait for cooler weather. Expecting temps 100+ by Wednesday
