Barred Rocks Good Shepard Poulty Ranch

I have some from Kathy.
My cockeral at about 15 weeks old. Still hasn't gotten his tail feathers yet and every bit as heavy as my one year old Delaware. I need to get some recent pics of the girls.

Bob,
I was able to get a rooster and 3 hens that I was told came from Good Shepherd eggs. I also got a pullet, and 9 chicks hatched from them. I have hatched some others myself. Here are a couple pullet pics from this afternoon, and a couple of the cockerals. They are around 14 weeks old. I would appreciate any comments. I am a rookie! ....... stan

This is so much better than last year when I first got on this site. Look at the Standard Qualty birds we are seeing. I hope more of you show your pictures and thanks to all who shared your eggs and chicks with others.

Does anyone have large fowl standard breed ones in Partridge or Silver Pencilled Rocks.

I have two beginers who want to get eggs or chicks next spirng or this winter . Bob

Here are mine from Good Shepard....they are about 4 1/2 - 5 months old. There are 2 pullets and 3 cockerels....just more than that in pix.

The last 2 are of a young pullet (8-9 weeks old) that is from Kraig Shafer lines and she appears to be carrying very nice type very early on...gonna be watching her

Scott,
I for one enjoy the pics. I hope it might help me learn to see what is typy. Please keep them coming. Commentary would be very helpful to me too! What is it about the pullet that you like so much?? She looks wide and broad thru the breast in the pics, and looks to me to have good, wider barring than the other lines? But maybe not as crisp as some of your other pullets?? I'm still trying to figure out what I'm looking for. ..........stan
