i read about this breed and it said that there were sweat hearts and so on, but to me they are not i would want a game bird over this breed

You probably never will till you raise it yourself!! All birds will act differently in different situations! Alot depends on how their raised!! And like someone already mentioned it's totally different buying hatchery birds from good breeders!!

I have 11 barred Rock hens, they are very nice, I personally like Australorps better, but the BRs are great layers and are docile, but I did notice that the peck at new chicks a lot more than my other breeds.

Then don't buy from a hatchery or feedstore.

As Katy said, and BR's are a really good example of this - Hatcheries never cull out temperament or physical looks, so there's a lot of bad traits you can get with their birds. Especially common, high demand breeds like RIRs, BRs, BAs, BOs, and Sex Links.

If you want a docile breed, go to a serious breeder. My Ameraucanas for example have NEVER shown any sign of aggression, even roosters towards each other know how to solve any problems they may have. And I have yet to truly cull anything past second generation for the simple fact that I've gotten mine from breeders who have already been working at breeding a fine "role model" of the breed and good temperament.

well i am going to be getting welsummer to show XD

Depends on the individual bird, but in general Roosters are pretty dominating, regardless of breed. Some with just the hens, others tend to want to dominate people as well..

Call the roosters Stew..
