Barred Rocks: Roosters or Hens?

Yay! I thought they looked pullets myself but, it's always good to get a second opinion from the experts

So thank you! I'm so relieved, having just one rooster was enough heartache to go through, so I'm thrilled everyone thinks they're pullets!

UPDATE!

They're about 10 weeks old today, and though I'm pretty positive they're girls ... I've noticed that one of them has a lot thicker/yellow legs and gets red in the face/has what look like developing wattles. She's not always red, just when it's really hot or when she's chasing another chicken that she gets like ... BEAT red.

The one in question is the one on the left. Ironically enough, she's the darker of the two which is generally the sign of a female, no? Perhaps she's just weird?

Have a look:

Her legs are almost twice as thick as her siblings.
And here (on the left again, sorry for getting so little in the picture), she looks to be developing wattles? Is that normal for 10 weeks old? Her sister has nearly nothing
:

Any thoughts or is it just poor breeding?
They both act the similarly, this one is a bit more dominating but they're both shaped the same ... but I was curious if females could be so varied comb and leg wise ...

They both look like pullets. If that one were a barred rock cross rooster, which would account for the darker coloring, the comb and wattles would be much larger at this age. She'll probably be your first layer, just maturing earlier.

Thank you! I was hoping that was the case but I wasn't sure if 10 weeks was too early to start getting so red in the face ...
No doubt she'll lay an egg before my 16 week old EE will at this rate haha.

Thanks for the opinion though

Yeah, I have one that's driving me insane also--it's a black sex link roo over a barred rock hen. No POSSIBLE way to sex from color as it's the darker color. I so want it to be a female--will just have to wait it out, not my strong suit lol.

Even with some pink in the face, it looks like two pullets to me. The reason is that I've found that on occasion, I'll have a BR pullet pinken up a tad early on me. Most of the time, by the age of 10 weeks, a cockerel not only has a pink comb, but a much larger comb than that.

My vote is still pullets! Dark colorization of body, legs, and beaks. The wattles starting to show, doesn't worry me any. My 3 br pullets are between 20 and 21 weeks old. 1 of them, Miss Wanda her comb is flopped over to 1 side it is so big and her wattles are 4 times bigger than the rest.
