I got 6 week and a half old Barred Rocks and am starting to wonder if I got pullets.
$ of the 6 still have some darker blackish markings on the fronts of their legs. 5 of the 6 are really dark while one is a lighter black. The spots on their heads are all over the boards.

Is there anything in particular that I should look for to tell or just wait it out to be sure?

This
should help. Same rules apply for BRs or Cuckoo Marans.

I have one hen who had all cockerel-like traits, but her comb just never grew like a cockerel's would have. By six weeks, the boys usually have red combs already. Lexie is still as light as her sons, lighter actually.

I thought with barred rocks , you can tell by color as the grown up feathers are lighter on a male and also the wings are white with black barring.

Added some picks but not the greatest.....Any help is appreciated but I may have to take more pics or just wait it out

I go by the head spot (small and very defined for the girls) and leg color (black down the front for the girls). I have never been wrong with this method. I learned it from a post by speckledhen. I think generally the boys are supposed to be lighter, but I have some darker roos and some lighter girls so I don't go by that at all.
