I have 3 Barred Rock Bantams and they are great! I brought them to the 4-H fair b/c I am in 4-H and it was my first time. I did great! I won Grand Champion Poultry Showmanship, Reserve Champion Rooster, Grand Champion Hen, and First Place Novice... AND IT WAS MY FIRST TIME

I'm hoping to show some of my Barred Rocks soon as well. Though I don't think I'll do as well as you (Amanda4414)!

if you want i can give you all the info i found and comprised into a study packet which therefore led me to winning. If you want, i can post it, but i will most likely break it up into posts b/c it is a lot and i can help you understand it more. I'll separate it into anatomy, breed, varieties, and commonly asks questions/facts.

Best of Luck and i'll upload if...just say so

I have two Barred Rock pullets. They are 18 weeks old today, so I'm hoping to get eggs from them soon. Here is one of them, along with my EE Rooster. The pic was taken when they were 15 weeks old.

I also love Barred Rocks. I have 13 hens and two roosters of that breed. You can see my best rooster on my profile. His name is Mr. Man. They lay so well, and even if they do eat a lot, they are a wonderful addition to any flock.
