These were my chicks at 12 weeks old. The 4 on the left are boys and the 2 on the right are girls.

Definitely not a Barred Rock roo, but very pretty.

I didn't think so((((( & thank you I know it was just some cash but being lied to hurts, especially when you wouldn't lie to others( I believe in "it is what it is" if I've got something that is not pure bred then so be it, if someone wants it knowing that then it's all good, but I wouldn't ever tell someone a lie for them to buy it

There went $10 & about $12 in gas for nothing & to top it off, now I'm going to have to spend more time searching & more money finding & obtaining a real & good quality one

I wouldn't want to take a chance on the lady not being willing to do the right thing by replacing him with a true barred rock, I mean she did this, I don't know what to expect if I were to ask that..

But I believe it's wrong to do people that way, & don't think the law would care. ( a family member of mine had a puppy stolen, & law didn't care that she had the papers & pictures with the puppy:/

Some indepth research would have avoided that. There are a lot of people out there that have no idea what breed their chickens are. And they don't feel a bit bad about taking your money. Shame on them.......

He is a pretty rooster though.... maybe you can identify his breed and resell him to finance buying a new rooster.

I mean I know what barred rocks look like and was expecting a barred rock, but when she took him out I knew he wasn't but I really don't have it in me to be mean or rude to someone. & I had already spent gas money & time to meet her the night before (she never showed) & I've already spent soo much time searching & she offered me a hen for a few dollars with him for not showing.. & I googled Marans & whyndottes & think he may be one of them.. I specifically posted looking for barred rock & I shouldn't have to look at a picture of one.. I'm sorry if I'm coming off rude, I'm not trying to be at all & I know you've done nothing wrong to me but I'm still upset & you telling me I'm wrong for what clearly a wrong thing a bad person has done to me & is in no way my fault is not helping me with my situation. Thank you for the tought of reselling him, I have thought so also, but am already trying to sell a red sex link roo & am getting no where fast so I'm thinking I'm doomed with this one as well haha lol
