well this is interesting, rooster is now behaving and treating the girls good now since the aerial attack he suffered by irritating the older leghorn hens, best behaved rooster you could want now. I've never heard a rooster do this but now he purrs if the girls are upset or to coax them in.
He's become quite gentle as these hens we brought in and 1 was already laying several others started the next day, so he is trying to show them what they are supposed to be doing including how to do a nest, calms them and is now acting like he's gonna lay an egg with them lol. At least he's not trying to breed the duck and drake anymore or the pullets.
