( sorry for the late reply )

Marzipan stared hopefully back at the unknown dog. He was hoping it would be one of his family members, it wasn't. A sad look now washed over the bruised dog but he was still happy to know he was no longer alone. Marzipan raised a playful paw to the stranger and gave a gentle wag of his tail.
Zalika's low menacing growl died in her throat as Marzipan lifted a playful paw to her. She froze, stunned by his actions, and quite frankly a little irked. "Who are you?" She angled her head to the side.

Marzipan rolled back over, then up on to his paws, still sore from the antelope incident. "Marzipan" he said, now cautious of the slim yet muscled bound dog.
"What pack do you come from?" She extended her neck over and sniffed him to make sure this wild dog wasn't coming from Vundu pack.
"The Zinsolo" Marzipan said proudly. He was unaware of any other packs being in the Zinsolo reserve, but unbeknownst to Marzipan he was no longer in Zinsolo...he had entered Botswana.
Zalika's brow immediately shot up, "Zinsolo?" She wore a look of utter confusion as her unpleasant gaze locked on the proud wild dog.

( If you read my characters history you'll get it. )

"The strongest pack in all of...." Marzipan's voice chocked and came to a stop. He turned his face away from the new dog with sorrow in his eyes.
(I've read it, lol... Although Zalika has never heard of that pack, only the Kwando-lagoon pack and Vundu pack)

Zalika ripped her gaze away from him; grief holding its tight grip on her. "I'm sorry," she whispered faintly. She sank down onto her haunches, tears welling up in her own eyes.
Marzipan shook his body, sending a large cloud of dust into the air. He looked back up to now saddened dog, "It's ok" he said more confidently "No need for you to feel my pain". His voice cleared, "Do you and your angry friend have a home?" he asked looking into the bush where the other dog stormed off, making a new track.

Zalika shook her ruff, sending her past scurrying. "Yes, not far from here," a stifled chuckle emerged deep from her chest when he mentioned 'angry friend'. Stiffly, she rolled onto her paws and began to jog in the direction Zola had gone in. Beckoning him to follow, she soon vanished in the undergrowth.

Marzipan followed swiftly. The other dog ran well and fast, and even though Marzipan was still hurting from previous injuries he managed to keep on the heels of her.
"What is your name?" Marzipan huffed. He had been running for many days and was really struggling now. There searing heat didn't help the situation either.
"Zalika," she huffed. Her muscles leaked into sight as she leaped over a rock with incredible ease. "And my friend's name is Zola," she smirked. The she-dog twisted her head back to see if Marzipan was still following and not getting distracted by something.
Marzipan sprung into the air just as Zalika had turned around, he clipped his front paw on the rock and tumbled to the dusty ground. He hopped up quickly, his face covered in embarrassment.
"Sorry" he whimpered slightly.
Zalika came to a screeching halt when Marzipan fell. "Are you okay?" She tried to act concerned but her effort rapidly transformed into a laugh. "Lets take it easy," she decided, trotting off at a much slower pace.
Obi dashed out to the den entrence and looked around the camp. He was always amazed seeing the outdoors every day. He especially liked to get up early in the morning to watch the rising sun and all the colors in the sky. He couldn't wait till he could start exploring further away from the den.

Foluke's eager, welcoming gaze rested on Mia. "I'm Foluke, your uncle," he took a slow, cautious step towards her. As he lowered his head to Mia's level Kofi sprung out of the poorly lit den and barreled towards Obi.

( The quotes where getting all weird so I deleted them to start again. )

"haha thanks" Marzipan smiled. He walk after Zalika with a small limp in his left fore leg. Marzipan was already hurt enough and didn't need this.

Marzipan felt as if he had been walking for hours. Silence had now fallen between the two dogs.

An eerie silence had indeed washed over them; Zalika enjoyed the peace, though. Like she predicted, it took fifteen minutes to arrive at the densite. "We're here," she scanned the area briefly before trotting towards the alpha's den.

Marzipan moved up into a sitting position and waited patiently.
He heard a sudden rustling behind him causing the dog to spring into the air. A lizard...."wonderful" he said sarcastically as he looked around to make sure no one saw his foolishness.

Zalika paused when she noticed the alpha walking out of the dim den; his pups Badru and Sine weaving through his legs to dart out. "Uh, Salim, I have somebody I want to show you," she spoke in a more urgent manner.
