Marzipan raised his head up and signaled to Lila that he'd found a young Impala over his way.

Lila flicked her ears in acknowledgement and slowly made her way towards him.

(Yeah i know. I was saying she was heading closer to Azaw so she could position herself and run towards the target.)
She positioned herself where he pointed to. Her fur melted into the tall savannah grass and waited for the right moment to dart forward.

Marzipan started at the herd, not blinking, not moving, just staring. He waited, waited. The young Impala turned around, it's back facing both dogs. NOW! Marzipan bolted fiercely at the herd hoping his companion had to seen the sign and too was chasing.

Lila bolted out of the grass towards the young impala as she saw it turn its back. She pursued it.

Marzipan swiftly looked over his shoulder to see Lila gaining speed rapidly! The Impala herd scattered like ants. The young Impala ran right into the middle of the herd but Marzipan never lost sight of it. He pushed it beyond the herd separating it from it's mother.

Lila steadied her pace and continued to run after the young impala. She locked her eyes on the target and knew it would be easier to catch now that it was separated. Though she also knew it could get away. Lila started to pick up the pace trying to catch up to the impala.

Marzipan too set into a steady pace. The target Impala was only very young but still very fast. Marzipan saw Lila running fast up the right side of the Impala. He kept chasing, weaving through branches and heavy brush.
Suddenly the Impala took a sharp left turn, almost back the other way towards the original heard. Marzipan put on the brakes and changed course.

Lila slowed down and then turned to chase the impala.
