Marzipan saw a bad look on the dogs face, he wriggled back on his hind legs.
Zalika jogged towards Marzipan, motioning Salim to follow. "This is Marzipan," she came to a sharp halt and flicked her paw at the wild dog. "I assume he's looking for a pack to join."
Marzipan stood up tall and strong despite his injuries. "Hello" he responded calmly "Yes, I am alone now and need a pack".
Salim weaved around Marzipan, observing the new wild dog closely. "You may join; however, you'll have to prove your loyalty to this pack," he reached over to sniff Marzipan.
"and how might I got about that?" Marzipan said annoyed as her was being "observed" like a zoo animal.
"Zalika will tell you how," Salim swiftly whirled around and jogged off towards a nearby river, his energetic pups followed. Zalika dropped onto her haunches, a frown planted firmly on her maw.
( Sorry for being silly, but what is a maw? )
"What?" he said, more than asked Zalika?

"Follow me," Zalika murmured unhappily as she slowly rolled onto her paws.

"Oookay" Marzipan said curiously. Why was she mad with him he thought to himself?

Zalika lowered her muzzle towards the ground and tested the air while she jogged off.
Marzipan followed loyally.
Zalika jogged through the sea of swaying golden grass with ease as she led Marzipan deeper into Sosian territory. The strong aroma of reedbuck lingered in the air, drawing her closer. "Today we're going to hunt reedbuck," she said quietly.
