How exciting!!! Your girl is beautiful! I think that I'm going to have a long wait for my John Blehm Silver Am to lay her first egg. She is so tiny! She is the size of our 13 week old Speckled Sussex chicks.

Ditto! My Blehm Silver is also a squirt! Although I do see signs of her filling in now, finally. If she makes 5 lbs I will be shocked, though!

Ours must be true sisters! They are around 20 weeks old, right? Here is a pic of Amelia this week. I'll have to get a pic of her with one of the other pullets to show how small she is!

OOOO I want one, she is gorgeous

Dawn & Debi, none of my Blehm pullets have started laying yet. Hopefully I'll start getting some eggs soon.

Now that I think about it... we're not getting many eggs at all from our hens right now. I've got a BUNCH of pullets that are right at POL, their combs are big and pink. I think most of my older girls though are beginning to molt. The younger girls need to get it in gear!

Hello from the East Bay! Anyone in the bay want to purchase 2 Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucana Cockerels? Roosters aren't allowed in Oakland so.....
They're only 1 month old. Thanks

Oh hi Jeremy! Cheryl hatched them out for me from eggs that came from Jean. My family wanted to get chicks from you but your hens were broody remember?
Everything turned out great though

How are your Ameraucanas?

Oooooh! Neato.

My birds are doing wonderfully, I have many, many, many pullets that are close to POL now. I cannot wait until I'm getting TONS of blue eggs everyday!

It's funny that you mention my hens brooding, I actually have another hen sitting on eggs right now. Judy is about a week into brooding W/BW Olive Eggers and English Orp eggs. She was a great mother the first time around, so I figured I'd let her at it again.
