LOL! Talk about evil moment.

We had to rehome our roosters a few months ago because someone complained to the City of Oakland that they were "disturbing the peace"... so we're now working with a local NPO to get the noise ordinance and other agricultural laws that haven't been updated since 1936 repealed/changed. Hopefully we'll be able to keep roosters at our place again around the beginning of the year.

I saw your post on the CA thread and I'll try to spread the word, but if you have Walt, you may not need me to do that.

I've spent the past year and a half looking for LF BL Polish. Bought 2 from a breeder, one was egg bound and the other hated my roo Bling. I bought to more at auction. Got them home and went to put them in the quarentine area and notice they had wet nostrils and a cough. One died the first night and the other the next day. I usually get there early and check all the birds and talk to the Ag people. One of the girls that does the testing will point out anything I shouldn't buy. I didn't get there early this past monday and lost a bird. The Polish I lost, same thing. You can see most times if they have problems, but not always, like when they put more than 3 or 4 birds in a cage at one time.

The Game roo I got a few weeks ago is doing great. He's now in with my Game hens. OK well one excaped today when I was checking their water. Bella! She used to be so friendly and wanted to be held, but she raised chicks this summer and doesn't want anything to do with anyone now. I'm going out in a few minutes to check everyone and snatch her up to put back in the pen.

Well been a long night. Oh morning now. Spent hours in the ER with Makayla and need to run for meds in the morning. I'm beat!
