Bay Area BYCers!

OK I'm posting Lavern all over for some comments. Camera phone pics, so bare with me and I'm going to try for some better ones when the weather cooperates.

Also, the prize I won at Chickenstock was a $25 gift certificate from Twin City. I got catalogs and the certificate, do I just mail the back page and the certificate in? I'm thinking I'm going to order a fertility booster. My FBCMs for the most part are older and I want to see if something helps get some chicks for me this year.

Just email Victor at [email protected] with what you want congrats!

OK thanks!

I'm trying to get some pics up this morning before I have to run out. I really think the fertility booster is the winner. I need more birds. LOL

Beautiful bird!

Thank you. I just love her. She's starting to get a little standoffish like a lot of the others. I've started picking her up more like I used too. She's a sweet bird. I'm not sure about my other pullet. I think I see hackle and saddle feathers coming in. Figures. My for sure cockerel I think is Shafer??? Karen would know.

Here's a pic of my blue girl. She's from a BBS breeding from rockinpaints

My husband has been busy building some cages for our bantam SQ Polishes and bantam SQ Cochins. We wanted to build our show birds nice predator proof cages. The area they are in are regular chicken wire on the sides and wood on the bottom. The mice go right through the wire. We have an issue with mice at times (even tho we pay pest control to come out and help with this). It feels like we will go months without seeing any then I will go and check on the birds at night and see 2! YUCK

So we are building new cages with automatic watering stations. This is the watering stations we bought:

The bottom floor is cement. This is when he first started:

The red building in the background is the coup.

This is the side that is almost done. 2 cages on the top and bottom and 3 in the middle. The wire is 1/4". There will be a wall in the back.

The other side. In the middle will be a door leading into the cages.
