ooh, Sunny, are you doing the Ameraucanas again this year? I'm just going to wait for whattheflock to get some eggs from his silver Ams. I'll have to get an incubator for the Barnevelder eggs anyway, so it seems the way to go. That reminds me, have you gotten any Ameraucana eggs from your pullets yet? Tim has not seen one blue egg yet. hmm.

You haven't posted pics of those Barnie eggs yet! snap, snap!!

Both of mine are now laying. All speckles are gone. They are giving me nice, shiny terra cotta colored eggs. Not bad, but not chocolate brown, by any means.

eta - Goldy and Freckles are doing fine! Goldy is just finishing a total blow-out molt, so hasn't been laying in about a month. Freckles went on vacation with her. She also decided to start charging the Barnies like a bull, with head down at full speed. The Barnies learned to fly as a result. I'd never seen her like that before. It started about two weeks ago. It was like bats took over her belfry.

Wow, go away for 24 hours and all kinda stuff happens... lets see if I can remember enough to answer it all in one post

I feel like a piggy now getting so many chicks... I am flexible about my #'s, just wanted to help the order and have best chance of pullets (if I get a Wheatie roo I will save him for you Sunny!)

If so many folks want more... why not do another order so there's room to get 15 more wheaties?

Umm Mareks... I haven't done it yet, but am willing if you all feel ok with it.

Rabbits are much easier to skin... like taking off a sock!

My Favs are LF, and on strike atm (at the moment... don't see that abbreviation here often), but I will make eggs available when they start; I have 2 pens, one for pretty pullets & one for pretty cockerels (honey vs mahogany saddle/wingbows).

... worked, ran errands, assessed the damage outside (4 new 'coop run' roof panels are next door, chickens are confused but all ok), made stroganoff, & finally get to check on you all!
