Bay Area BYCers!

The Icelandics should be really fun to hatch, there's just so much variety within the breed!

I've got some eggs that will be coming this spring from breeders that offered more after I had some bad hatches.

Just FYI in case anyone is wanting these breeds later

White ameraucanas
12 Buff & 12 Dark Brahmas large fowl
12 Blue Birchen Marans

I could do either, though I am beginning to realize the economy of scale with chickens. I am into $360 for 50 chicks this spring. I have a Brinsea incubator coming tomorrow, and will try my hand at hatching. Whatever works best for you. Thaks, Luke

Jeremy, The pic of you in the creek reminds me of the hours I spent getting my juvenile ducks out of my pond the first time they found the pond. Wading through cold water chasing ducks is futile. Glad you got your girl back.

Ooh, what line are the Blue Birchen Marans Cheryl?

Luke, it was pretty easy to get her, she just stood there yelling until I picked her up. I can't imagine chasing after ducks though!

Well they are Gabbard - haven't had the best luck in the past with fertility there, so I'm waiting till spring when fertility is highest to try again - also these are replacements - and again only for my layer/eye candy pen

Forgot I took this shot of the cree farm wheaten marans eggs I just set - 35 of them + one Blue Wheaten they threw in!

Gorgeous eggs!

I just confirmed my order with Lisa this morning, I'll be receiving 18+ Blue Wheaten eggs around the first week of March. I cannot wait!
