Bay Area BYCers!

Karen the Garmin will change if you have to detour too.

4-5 hours??? You need to go to the store and see if you can catch Olivia. She buys all of her cars in Santa Rosa and we've never taken that long. I have gone with her at times to drive either the new one home or and older one. Trust me, my girl can get you there. I'd just cruise by her office and she if she's in there and then ask. And if she isn't in the office, just ask for her. OK I might get the "mom???" thing, but maybe ask about a sale item and then mention the trip and ask if she's ever been there? LOL You know she's a sweetheart, so honetly I think she'd be happy to tell you how to get there. She even took my SIL there

Our GPS hasn't powered up in months. It may be the charger and I noticed it wasn't charging the last time I had it up trying to get back from Dixon. I keep forgetting to go to Radio Shack and see if they can figure it out.

Sooooo....Cheryl. Thinning your stock uh?

I really wish my car issues didn't always come up or I would be going too. Riding with someone else is just not an option for me. Really sucks too!!

I'm on my break here. I'm trying to come up with something that I can put LD and my Lav roo into that will have room for girls hopefully. I think Debi is right. Might have to get LD some girls. He's to pretty not to copy.

Wish me luck on checking my Broody with no problems. Still so mad about that lost chick. Then again it was 3 days early or more. Still!

I told you that he was beautiful!!! Yes, you definitely need to get him some girls of his own so he can make beautiful W/BW/Splash babies! His ex-harem is waundering around my backyard looking lost without him. They have been much friendlier to me this morning though and have been waiting on the backstep for me to come out with treats. I didn't realize how much LD controlled his group until I see them without him. Cosette even squatted for me this morning. I guess I'm the roo now!

What time do you think you will be getting to Santa Rosa? The construction is not a huge problem other than during commute times and it would be slow going even if there was no construction. If you are not used to the area, the other routes may be confusing. I would just go up hwy 101 to the fairgrounds. That is very simple. Turn right off 101 at the hwy 12 exit (head east towards Sonoma) and take the first exit on the right (about a 1/4 mile or so and that drops you off at the fairgrounds. It is very simple.

Walt

Thanks Walt,
I hope to meet up with the BYCers for the brunch at 11:30. I don't know how much time to allow myself from Turlock with all this talk of road construction. I am usually an early bird always afraid to be late to anything.....LOL

there are no detours in any of the travel options you have. Once you get to 101 it is a straight shot to Santa Rosa. You will hit construction between Petaluma and Rohnert Park, but usually it moves pretty well. I can make it from where you are in less than 3 hours, but hopefully you don't drive like I do.

Does anyone know if there is road work between Vallejo and Novato? That's the way we usually drive to get to 101. I just made our reservations at the KOA in Petaluma! Doesn't anyone else want to camp for a night or two? :) We got our program in the mail yesterday and we are so excited! We have been going through it and marking what we want to see. Walt, are you on the poultry panel that will be discussing Heirloom poultry at 6 PM on Tues?

Yep they are at the age now that I can really see their potential. I will have 2-3 roos available and a maybe a few hens, took pics of the roos this am, still need to weigh them and do the same for the hens.

No road work on that route that I am aware of. I am not involved in the panel discussion of heirloom poultry. Jeanette Beranger of the ALBC is doing that, but this is the first time they have done one of these shows and things are changing on the fly, so who knows.

They have a number of interesting things scheduled through the day and early evening.

darn school

Well I was getting to hot, so I had LD outside with me and now he's back in the kitchen and I'm taking another break. He kind of looked at me while I was working as if to say "this is it? You're living in this one right?" LOL Poor boys get anothe rof my ghetto coops.

Then........I found Ziggy and the girls espace spot. He was clucking and acting all secret agaent on me and then after about 5 minutes I saw a head and a foot. I looked at him and said "ah ha. I caught ya sneaky." First he tucked his head back in and then he slowly pulled his foot in. I have to reframe the wire. At least it's a small area. Actually I need to finish framing. I ran out when I was fixing it up and never thought to do it. Just one skinny board and I have that. I laid a piece of plywood up against it and that's my first project after the heat lightens up. It was funny because when I walked over to check it out I looked inside and they were all 3 looking away and all 3 head slowly turned and I got the sink eye from them all at one time. LOL They so pretty and funny. Oh and Zigmo was the first to the door for his treats this morning. I guess buying him off worked the past few days. Can't belive he took his treat and then decided to try and escape, but I'm glad he did it while I was out there and saw what was going on.
