Kim,
I went to J.S. West about 9:20 so I could see all that came in. I was there about 2 hours & got contact info from a couple of new people & met a Turlock neighbor that I had spoken to one the phone a cople of times. He & his friend left with some Salmon Favorelles. I looked at them but just hatched chicks from Washington a few weeks ago so am going to wait & see how they turn out before I buy any more. Bridget little has them in Newman too.
I saw the Cubalaya there. I was a good girl & came home with only my trio of Buff English Orpingtons that I had already ordered from Jim & Bonnie Sallee. I got a leadon Frizzled Polish for Cari. There were some Frizzled bantam Cochins there that were tempting to get for her but she is being very percise is what she wants since she only wants 2. The little call ducks kind of tickle my yearnings but so far I have been able to resist. I saw them for the first time at Stockton in January..So cute!!!!
Friday is still good for me. I will hold it for you to come. I bought the bins for you & Teri already.
I wasn't able to finish the quilt. I need help stretching & pinning it, but it is all pieced & ready to but the batting & backing on. Hopefully today will do it. Cari is home to help.
I am off to do morning chores. The brooders always need attention early.

Thanks Cheryl,
I had one die yesterday & I don't know why. She looked okay but just laid down & stopped eating & 2 days later she died. I am wondering if I should switch to a lower protien feed earlier than I do.

I was wondering about the protein as well, but I don't think that was it, everyone else is perfectly healthy. Just some are predisposed and some are not.

Are you sending yours to davis for necropsy.

Did they have a lot of birds at the sale, I had wanted to go just to meet folks (goodness knows I don't NEED anything) but coop/pen reconstruction took all weekend and still need at least another weekend to finish

Here are the numbers for those breeds.

Blue Fawn Calls – 98

Wheaten Marans – 99

Blue Steinbachers – 56

SC Nankins – 68
