Folks, we're in need of charcoal for the party this weekend.

Can anyone bring along a bag?

I plan on picking up a few different kinds of sausages for any kids that are going to be at the party, I haven't checked the food spreadshet lately but if anyone else is planning to use the grill at the site we'll need charcoal for sure!

I still need to downsize a bit more too, especially after I brought home 3 new pullets last weekend

Out of ALL my Ameraucana pullets from this Spring though only 2 are laying...

I'll probably be holding on to these freeloaders through the winter, hoping for gorgeous blue eggs next spring.

Honestly, their lack of productivity is making me reconsider the breed. I love my Wheaties but they just aren't laying for me, it's very frustrating.

When you downsize let me know. *hides* I made the big shed coop...more birds AH ahahah dad didn't even notice the 3 Quail D'anvers I brought home from Paso...well he did and I lied...said I hatched them...shmuck....Jeremy I'm still getting like 7 eggs lol, everyones out of molt again....

Also added 3 of my olive egger eggs and 3 sizzle eggs into the bator...have development...the boys are doing their jobs.

I think I'm going to go ahead and cull again on appearance, keeping only the best birds for breeding next season, I guess I'll find out then whether or not I kept those with the richest egg color. At this point I just need to rehome some birds so my feed bill isn't as high as it's been lately, knowing that with winter coming feed prices are only going to keep going up.
