I've been up all night tube feeding ginger and my chocolate lab is failing too. I'm just shaking, so nervous about both of them. I should have logged on to chat with you!

but as we speak i'm typing with one hand because ginger is in my other

Oh Cheryl. Your dog too? Is Ginger getting any better? I've had birds lately that I had to deal with in the middle of the night too and I feel for you, not to mention the stress of losing a pet.

I have always been a night owl, but I've had insomnia really bad since my husband died. I rarely even sleep in bed. Sometimes I fall asleep at my desk, most times I sleep in the floor. I had been laying in the floor watching a movie and he was going to stay up and get things ready for a doctor appointment in the morning at 6AM. I told him I was going to be up, because i was going to be online, he said "yeah right, get some sleep." I fell asleep during the movie and I woke up and found him hours later. For some reason I think my brain makes me sleep in the floor since then. I also can't sleep, so between the two, I feel beat uo all the time. Not good for the body either. I've aged 30 year in 15 months. We hadn't lived her but a couple of months, so besides my over worked daughter and Karen, I know no one. So, I have BYC! LOL I live through my chickens. Plus I have gotten so behind here without his help, I try and do at least one thing at night. BYC usually beats out the one thing though. LOL But usually, I'm someplace online and in and out of here all night. Last night I was updating the first post on the California thread. I think I'm caught up. Maybe.

Caught up! LOL good luck with that, I'm feeling a bit under water at the time. yes I'm so stressed, my dog of 12 years, Toby, my soul mate is becoming crippled. He has bad arthritis and yesterday "tweaked" something, so it means some extra acupuncture chiropractic and meds. He's such a wonderfully happy amazing dog, just has bumps in the road of old age.

I'm on my way, myself to the orthopedic, another cortisone shot in the shoulder probably, too many 50 lbs bags of feed I fear

ginger is resting, I just finished another round of nutrients through a tube. I'm shaking like a leaf... just too much today

Cheryl do you ad ACV to your dogs water? I've shown dogs since I was 12 and raised them since I was 18 and when they get uo there I give them ACV more often. Matter of fact I need to start my Corso on it again. She hasn't gained weight since she was biten months ago by a black widow. I ran out of ACV this weekend, but didn't know why I hadn't been using it for the dogs the past few months. I can already see a slight difference on even a small amount. I've always had really big dogs and the ACV has kept them up and moving at sometimes 16 or 17 years old. Really old for a large breed.

We'll see Kim, when I visited Bridget's to pick up a Sumatra hen her roo did not crow once. He kept an eye on me the entire time I was near their pen though, with a "come any closer and I'll jump you" sideways glance.

I'm hoping my little cockerel will be the strong silent type...

Melina, I feel like I'm beginning to get a bug... crazy weather like we're having usually does me in and then I'm sick for a week. I sure hope not.

It's probably stress, I tend to over analyze and worry things until I'm sick!

Eat chicken soup and vitamin up now. Actually as we speak I'm going to go take an airbourn. I'm contemplating making a lemon cake for the shindig...with Lemon curd sauce...not sure yet. I'm too indecisive.

Karen what would you like me to prepare for the rooster/chick swap? The chicks will be 2 1/2 weeks by Saturday and I have a car heating pad that I can send them home with, do you think that will be ok?

ACV huh really? no I don't but I can start, any suggestions on amount versus water? just a splash maybe? toby is on chinese herbs, glucosamine etc and non steroid anti-inflammatory and every two weeks goes for acupuncture and chiropractic.

I just got home after almost passing out in the orthopedist doctors office when she gave me the two steroid shots in my shoulder- hurt so much..doctor said.. "I love the eggs you bring me but - find someone else to carry your 50 lb bags of feed, your shoulder is off-limits!" little does she know all the kinds of things I do
