Bay Area BYCers!

Rockette is getting better at walking, but not well enough to put out with the others yet. I tried a couple of days ago but was shocked when the only bird that really tried to attack her was Fat Chick! They're buddies and partners in crime, so I know it hurt her little feelings that the only other bird she usually hangs out with jumped on her. They always slept right next to eachother. I wonder if this is going to be a permenent separation. Too sad.

Anyway here she is giving me the look for giving her water in a tuna can and her treat on a napkin. I'm soaking all the feeders and waterers in bleach and I guess she thinks she's unloved now.

She is so cute!

I think so. LOL I can't wait till she's old enough to put in with the SPPRs. She's just got that "I'm so pretty, I can be snobby" attitude. LOL I sure hope her and Fat Chick start getting along again.

I bet Fat Chick is just jealous because of all the attention Rockette is getting! She just wants some pampering, too!

Hi everybody,
I processed my first BCMs today. What a difference from the Delawares/Indian Rivers. I had so many dark pen feathers to take out it took be twice as long to pluck & clean them. I hope they are worth it. I have been told that their meat is scrumptious & I will never want other chickens after I eat them. We will see.....The last India River I processed last week made realy delicious chicken & dumplings so I am going to try one of these guys for that to compare. I have a friend due to arrive from Carson City & she grew up processing their own chickens so I am sending one back home with her to try.
Jeremy, I got the pictures of thr Blue Orp. today such as they are & will Pm them to you.
