Baytril dose?

She's exactly 5lbs so I'll cut back to 1ml. Poor thing hates the taste - I tried gravy and some of her favorite foods like grapes too. She wouldn't take it. Maybe tuna juice will hide the taste --- oh can't wait to have that all over my clothes tonight.

She's eating well though - today I hung chunks of cabbage in their wire hanger and they went crazy over it.
Do u give it to them daily? I have three young hens that I have tried multiple medicines and they still sick. The baytral finally came in but I don’t know how long to give it for or how often. Thanks

Thankyou for checking on that for me. Poor hen has awful diarrhea from the Baytril. She's eating okay but hates the taste - even when hidden in treats. So I have to force her to take it. Breaks my heart. I may call today and see if there's any other effective treatment. She's an angel for her foot soaks - nearly falls asleep in my arms. She's a great pet - but getting tired of this. 3 months is a long time to be tormented.
You need to buy oral Baytril as inevitable is hard on the stomach.

Why the resistance to injectable baytril? My country vet has always recommended it be injected because on a large bird it is hard on the crop? Maybe he recommends it that way because it is easier to get done lol
I use the injectable. It can be given orally or by injection.

1.25 x 10 / 100 = 0.125 ml twice a day
Or
1.25 x 15 / 100 = 0.1875 ml twice a day

If not noticeably better after 72 hours, stop treatment.
I know this is old ;) but I am about to purchase Baytril because I just got a shell-less egg followed immediately by a lash egg from a one-year-old Blue Andalusian who has never been a good layer, poor dear. I've had so much trouble lately, parasites and snicking and now this, I don't know what all is infecting my flock but I'm getting one test after another performed on specimens and it's just been a mess.

Once I get the Baytril liquid, it looks like this is chicken weight in kilograms x 10 / 100 = number of milliliters twice a day? Thanks for any clarification! So helpful!
