First part: crap. Really? I was under the impression that it was an actual vaccine.
Second part: flu?
Aside from being able to translate medical journals, I find it difficult to find reliable information. However, medical journals aren't always the best option either. After the danger of cigarettes was known (very early on) JAMA still ran advertisements and doctors were still recommending menthol cigarettes for a sore throat until who knows how long.
Im just playing it by ear.

actually the answer is polio
the only documented cases of polio were from the liquid vaccine that was given routinely from at least the 70’s thru 1990’s......I was able to get an exemption to get oldest ds the salk vaccine because my mom was immune compromised due to chemotherapy. by 1999 they were giving the salk vaccine routinely again.
I thought it was extremely weird last year when the health department hosted continuing education touting the success of the HPV vaccine in eradicating penile and cervical cancers and how we as dentists should strongly urge every patient to take one (this vaccine was still in human trials in 2005 and limited to women under 35 so i don’t think it’s been around long enough to make these sort of claims) but looking back was that a prelude of things to come???

there is no vaccine for TB just a skin test that has to verified with chest x-ray if positive

Ah! Thought so.
My great grandmother apparently had it and lived with it for a very long time. She passed at 80 something, before I was born, but I have no idea when she got it.

yes i guess i should’ve clarified not widely used vaccine ..... because in most cases it is self-limiting much like histoplasmosis and other related diseases ......but both have seen a resurgence in severity of disease in immune compromised populations ie co-infections/co-morbidities
this is sounding like a deja vu scenario ?????

I'll do my part to save the vaccine for those most in need. That's my nice way of saying no!
As someone else stated a majority of us have no complications so dont really need it. Besides now we know it was here in December and I would go so far as to say it was here in September. 2 of the symptoms are blood clot and pneumonia, I had both. First time in my life I had pneumonia. dr tested everything possible and no reason for the clot.
"Community pneumonia " was probably crazy around you. Everyone I know had it.
