BBS Cochin adopt an egg hatch-a-long

I am hoping to go out at dusk since inside the coop is darker at that time so maybe I can see more. I can see in Hummers egg when it is lighter out though. but her egg is also a very very pale blue/almost white it is so pale so maybe that is why? I will probably take any that I can tell for sure are clear (like Annabelle's is clear A1 I am almost pos) and check those.

I do have a question did you check fertility on the clear eggs you had or just checked for signs of life when you cracked them? I wasn't sure if after sitting for a bit under a hen if you could even see the spot anymore. I thought some I checked last time the yolks just broke when i cracked the egg.

How many days till they hatch? Hope some do

Are there any other colors of Cochin’s you would be ok with? Meyer has Partridge and White. I must say I’m impressed with their packaging and fertility was good.

I wouldn't mind those colors but I just LOVE the splash and only have room for 2 more chickens in my coop which is why I am trying so hard for those. I do have Itzy and Ditzy that are both Blue Cochins so can give me splash. It is just getting Ditzy's eggs to be fertilized and go to hatch. I know Itzy can do it still since Hummers egg is growing. He has been mating Ditzy quite often the past week or so. and her last egg she laid the day she went broody made it to day 10 last time before it quit so I now she can be fertilized just not sure if I have to trim butt feathers again for it to happen again or if they are still good. Only way to find out is to try.

If the ones I try on Sunday don't do anything then I will trim and wait and just use the incubator again and raise them in the coop brooder if I have to.

they are only on day 5 so still have 16 days left. Due to hatch June 18th.... but not looking good for any of the shipped eggs so far.......... and last times the ones by day 4/5 that I thought had something did and the ones I wasn't sure or thought were clear nothing happened..... so that doesn't help give me much hope either.

I could only see one white spot when the eggs were cracked. The ones I thought were clear had zero development. The super early quitter looked noticeably different with a few tiny blood streaks. I would assume if they were fertile that they would have some sort of development occur after 4-5 days…but I’m definitely not an expert.

Here are the pictures. Sorry they stink, I can't get good pictures.. I opened S2, S10, S7, S18, A1 and S11. Most just looked like normal clear eggs. But 2 we're cloudy looking. I will post that picture too.

H1 is still going strong. A couple are just dark, but I saw no veins, there was 1, may be S3, that most of the egg is dark besides the air cell.

Anyone think any may have life besides H1?
