My barn’s nearly year old (will be in June) BCM has developed a swollen eye with what appears to be subtle discharge. Her eye has swelled in the last day, but I would say I saw some squinting a few days ago.
No other bird in the brood is showing signs of this.
Her scabbing on the comb looks like she has been pecked at. Could this be an eye irritation from a peck? It is only in one of her eyes.
We are based in Chicagoland and it is not insect mania season yet.
