Be careful feeding pumpkins

Funny stuff! I'd say I've had the most fun feeding my birds pumpkins, just from the whole "smashing them on the ground" thing.
I mean who doesn't love smashing a big 'ol pumpkin? Maybe it's a guy thing? Maybe I just have hidden anger issues?

Yes, be very very careful with sweet potatoes. Mine always get the skins. I even cut them up or rip them up and put them in a pie pan with other goodies. They can smell them cooking and they know what's coming. As soon as I am out the door they come running or flapping in. I have been flyby sideswiped. And Flutter winged to get up to the plate I am still carrying. I have yet to be able to get a pan down without it being knocked out of my hands.

They love sweet potatoes, I'm afraid to offer pumpkin if they like it even better.

As bad as ducks with a bowl of peas - no their bigger and the wing span on that drake is huge.

Okay, if you are going to tell on yourself, I will tell, too.

I picked up one of the kids pumpkins off the front steps, took it over to the chickens, raised it high over my head to throw on the ground to break open and SPLASH! all the water, rain and pumpkin juice that was inside comes pouring out over my head.

My son saw the whole thing and laughed his butt off.

I had to go take a shower. Nice.
