Be glad this isn't your weather forecast

WOW! It's been so beautiful here in South Jersey the past two days! We went walking in t-shirts yesterday! We did have some bad rain the other day, but it dried up quick enough!

That's just way too cold!

When is your spring thaw?
I have to ask, how big is your coop since your chickens obviously aren't out in this extreme cold? If you have some coop photos, I'd love to see them.

No thanks. I've lived where temps were -25 (Ohio) and I think I'll pass, Leslie. I also hate heat so I'm not sure there's a place on this planet for me. Anyone know where the temps range between 50 and 70 year round with low humidity?

Well it is considerably warmer the past few days, but for quite a while it was pretty cold here in Wi. Lows of around
-15 to -18, and wind chills of - 30. This was a week ago.
I remember about a week or more of weather in I think 1995 or so where it was wind chills into the - 60 range.
Are you talking outright temps, or wind chill?

My SIL (a native Texan) lives in the San Diego area (Mission Viejo, CA) and she swears that the temp stays between 50 - 75 degrees all year w/no humidity or mosquitos.

Arkansas is set for 73 and humid...thunderstorms (more than likely tornado warnings) will issue this evening or early in the morning. tuesday is 71 forecast and thunderstorms...the rest of the week is supposed to be in the mid-50's.

Speckled Hen-- You need to move to Santa Barbara, CA !!!! That is exactly what our weather is..... only problem is a 50 year old 3 bedroom tract house will cost you $900 K - 1.3 million. We live in a valley just next to Santa Barbara, and it is a bit less ($700 - 1.1 mil) but it is warmer in the summer, and a cooler in the winter than Santa Barbara, but still basically gorgeous all year round.

You get what you pay for.
