Beaktime auto-watering cups for buttons?

Stop helping them and theyll figure it out faster. They can smell water like most animals so they will figure out how to access it.

I sat there all day and never touched it on more than one occasion. They haven't gotten any out and it's been in there 2 months. How long should it take?

When i was using GQF cups they would figure them out within a day. The needle waterers only take them about 5 minutes

Update... I ended up removing their large open waterer and swapped it for nipple. Wheb I did I thought ahhhh what the heck I'll put this alone inside the coop, you never know.... the minute the open water tray was gone they began using this and they use it everyday so maybe it was just a matter of lazy preference!

They will always go for what is easier. By eliminating their other water source they have no option but to use what they have. These stay so much cleaner, you can be assured your birds will always have clean water without you having to clean an open water tray.

I've never had it take longer than a day for them to learn. If you fill the cup once that is enough for them to learn where it comes from and once thirsty they are motivated to get more water. It only takes seeing one trigger it and the others will follow that example.
