Bears got my flock

1 gold Polish, 1 white Leghorn/RIR, 5 Red Stars, 2 Barred Rocks, and 2 Langshans (sp?).

Do you have an incubator? I can send you some Welsummer eggs.

You guys are so sweet! OMG And thank you, but no I don't. Honestly, I am just so lazy! Last year, one of the Barred Rocks (Pixie) was broody, so I let her sit on a clutch. We got one chick, and what a pain the rear that was. I really don't have the inclination and time to incubate and then keeps chicks in until they're feathered out. I go the relatively easy way with pullets.

Okay. Not everyone wants to do the whole incubation thing but I am a hatch-a-holic. I have over 100 eggs cooking now.
Hopefully once your coop is fortified to stop bear you will find some great inexpensive girls. Best of luck and so sorry about losing your flock. It happened to us earlier this spring when I lost all of my silkies that I had been working with for 3 years.
Some wonderful people sent eggs to me and then (of course) I bought some. Can't not have chickens--gasp, what a horrible thought.

Can the lady form VA tell me about black copper marans and her silver americaunas? How is the egg color on them? Do you have any for sale?
