Is it okay to use pine shavings as bedding for baby chicks? My fiance and I found a bedding made of aspen shavings at petsmart and thought maybe it would be better for them but it is a bit more pricey. We also found a recycled paper bedding, carefresh, but that was even more expensive. We only want the best for our babies, what should we do?

Thanks

My fav chick bedding is Pine Shavings...Cuts down on smell big time. Really easy to clean..even tells you on the bag how many times it should be changed for chickens. Even to refresh it is so easy you can use a kitty litter croop and scoop out some of the poo and refresh the shavings. Works awesome!

pine shavings are good unless they are to pricy and then there are always other good things to use..
