Just recently acquired chickens again. Had 5 in my backyard shed, with a small fenced in area. I thought they were safe. Well, apparently they weren't. Something got in there and ate the heads off of 4 of them. #5 chicken managed to escape. She is now an indoor chicken. She is a 2 month old Australorp.
My major problem now, at 4 am on a Sun morn, is my 11 year old pup is sick. I suspect from eating chicken feed. Her belly is bloated, and she's been vomiting. I haven't been able to keep her little nose out of the chicken feed. Everytime I turn around, there she is! She's vomited about 4 times over the course of the night. And her belly still seems bloated. My other two dogs haven't had any problems, although I have also caught them poking their noses through the open door of my chicken's birdcage, also trying to get to the feed.
She has been drinking water, so I'm hoping she is staying hydrated and flushing her system. But wondering if there is anything I can give her?
