My parents have been adopted by a homing pigeon. We would like to build him a house for winter any suggestions?

a Rabbit hutch is a good house for a very small # of pigeons...the kind that's off the ground, made of wood and wire and has a solid wooden box area at 1 end to protect from weather while the rest is 1/2 " hardware cloth enclosure .with a solid roof.
