so everywhere we’ve read they said pointy side up when’s incubating, but I’ve been reading the articles here and they all said fat end up! I have a some eggs in different incubators. Some are about a week old some are couple days from lockdown. Should I flip them around or would it do more arm then good?

I looked at it thanks. It’s crazy how much misinformation you can get on the internet. All this time I was dreading making a profil thinking oh I won’t use it enough I’ll just read as a guest, but dang, crap I learned in a measly hours lmao. Hopefully somebody can enlighten me as if I should turn my eggs around for their sake or if it’s too late

This is only my opinion, so give it some thought. It is also what I would do being in your situation.
I would candle the eggs and see where the air sack is positioned. I would then place that end UP. :idunno
It is night time now, but during the day more wise chicken keepers will read your post and give you their suggestions. Of course those in other parts of the world are already getting their coffee and may be able to help now. :)

I would do what cavemanrich suggests too. obviously if the aircell is on the side of the egg it would be impossible to have that pointed up in an autoturner, but I would be inclined to turn them over. If you candle and find your aircells in weird places it's ok. I have had an egg hatch on it's own that had an aircell on the side of the egg and saddle shaped aircells too. :D

Agree with cavemanrich & Rose Quartz ... Candle & check your air cell.
As far as I know, it's always been wide side up, that's the side the air cell developes (normally) ... Just like in the egg cartons at the market. I have read some incubate with the eggs on their side but never narrow side up.

I did that before getting back to the replies, marked the ones in lock down. Ones starting to external peep so hopefully my two already hatched get a cuddle buddy soon. Didn’t get much movement from the other ones but then again doesn’t mean much from what I’ve read. I’ll candle the ones in the rotators tomorrow. From what I remember all the air cell where in the fat part so hopefully it’s good. Only thing I’m worried about is if the chick isn’t already positioned to pip if I turn it won’t I mess him up even if his air cells up? If he’s too big to turn, same principal as us humans with the baby. Baby goes head down between 32-38 weeks but sometimes baby doesn’t and passed 38 if baby didn’t turn it most likely won’t be turning by that point? I’m tired sorry if I’m not clear, or sorry if i was and I’m ranting explaination‍♀️ Thanks for your help you guys. I really appreciate it. Saved a few chickens/ chicks with this forum I’m really hoping to save more by reading more, knowledge is power!

Flip the ones that are week along to the proper position (fat end up).

Can you lay the ones that are about to go into lockdown on their sides for hatching? With them having been positioned wrong there's a good chance they're going to pip at the wrong end.

Alright I’ll do that thanks!

I’ve been lucky I guess? Been hatching the turkeys even if they where wrong side up I won’t push my luck tho, I’ll flip them around! Thank you!
Good luck!
Let us know how it the hatch turns out.
