The hackles are the feathers around the neck correct? I think they all have pointy hackle feathers though.

I'm nowhere near an expert but...

I got my GLW's from My Pet Chicken also. I ordered 3 hens and a rooster so it was a lot easier to see who was who. Your GLW looks like my hens. My roo was colored differently from the beginning and by about the 5th week it was pretty easy to see that he was indeed a roo - his wattles where the same size as your hen's at 13 weeks.

Fugie~ beautiful roo (if it is yours) I was thinking that. If my wyandottes were roos wouldn't they have different coloration by now.

for hens can't wait until they lay!! We should have a pretty bunch of eggs. ( I think anything other then white is pretty
