Crohn's is rotten, but I'm glad this is the answer. As I said, my Grampy lived a full, wonderful, long life despite Crohn's.

Guess I spoke too soon. Breathing tube still in. His heart started beating irradically and he is running a temp

A lot of this could be a side effect of the back up and anemic conditions.
Anemia on its own can cause disarrythmia (OMG, spelling blank.)

Stay strong. There will be ups and downs to recovery. Severe anemia or a Crohn's attack on their own can cause a rollercoaster in the process of healing.
