If you crack it open it will never hatch. To see if an egg is fertile you have to dump the yolk out completely to try to find the blastodisc and see if it has become a blastoderm. If you want to try to hatch these you will just have to put them in the incubator and see if they develop.

Do you already have all your brooding supplies for when they hatch and an enclosure ready to keep them in when they grow up?

A cracked egg is a bad egg after it is breached it most lickely will never hatch( once you crack it to check for fertility you can not hatch it out.)

I plan on doing that as soon as possible, I do know a few people who could lend me some brooding supplies though.

Hmm it seems maybe your best bet would be to get the incubator in a few days, run it for a day or so and get the eggs laid today/tomorrow/etc. and try incubating those if your friend is willing

The chances of those eggs hatching is lowered and you'll tie up your incubator for nearly a month, so might be best to wait a few days for some eggs with the better chance of hatching, if possible ^^

What incubator are you getting? I am guessing they are button quail eggs? I don't have experience with those, I know they're smaller than coturnix so may fall out of the egg turner? Do these have to be turned by hand?

They are coturnix, I am pretty sure. They have the brown blotches all over the eggs. I am purchasing HHD Automatic 7 Eggs Incubator Poultry Hatcher

It's unusual to keep just one female for one male coturnix quail, he will more times than not overmate her to a bad condition

Feather wise and even skin and nerve damage involvement. I don't know what color button quail eggs are

If the hen is in good condition that's great but then you have to wonder if he's being gentle or if he's not mating her at all

That's the clear dome yellow base one? I think you'll have to turn them by hand, automatic doesn't cover the required egg turning if that's the same one I'm thinking of :3
