I would have guessed both boys! But I mainly have silkies and silkie crosses so they don’t have those combs. So don’t listen to me 🙈 Did you get them as sexed pullets from a feed store?

Thank you for posting! I got them from someone who is also raising chickens. They claimed that they are girls when I picked them up but now that it's week 3 and they are growing so fast I started getting suspicious 🤷‍♀️

Unless she bought them from a hatchery that sexes birds… I wouldn’t trust them. If they were from a hatchery, there can be mix ups. But if they weren’t and the person just told you they were girls, I’d be inclined to think that they were bluffing. Is it a well known breeder in your area? Did they seem knowledgeable enough that they could vent sex chicks? For these breeds, if they hadn’t been vent sexed then they would have had to have been DNA sexed to know for sure.

I mean unless the breeder created sex link chicks, like by breeding a lavender rooster to lavender cuckoo hens, then it would be possible to know… but I’m guessing they would have told you if that was the case. If you still have their contact information you could message them and ask how your chicks were sexed?

Thry just told me they were auto sexed so it was easy to tell from when they first hatched apparently 🤷‍♀️
