Shellz, I have 3 blue orps arriving on the 30th. Hatched on Monday also. Awaiting some future conversation with Bart come August hopefully. Looking into good quality incubator. Hadn't realized how expensive an investment it can be. I hope I won't be starting too late in the season to acquire these.

Yeah you get what you pay for with incubators. In Canada though, I have no warranty with my Hovabator, which I believe the hygrometer is way off. At least down there, you'll get great customer support if you choose one. I can still use mine, I just have to use a separate hygrometer in it. At least they sent me a new motor for the new egg turner that was a dud. I think my equipment was damaged during shipping to the hatchery I bought them from. I'm wishing for a Brinsea Octagon 40 w/the works for Xmas!

Funny you should mention xmas! My girlfiend asked if the incubator was what I was getting her for christmas. Shes kind of a bling and sparkle girl and who would have ever thought an incubator would excite her! Shes expensive, but worth every penny.
By the way, I am really enjoying your thread and the chick picks. Awesome idea! Yes, I am excited about the blue orps and curious to see what color I get. (Blue, Black, or Splash). I will post you some pic's as soon as I can distinguish what I end up with. I think we are both crazy.

I'm not cheap either, lol! I sure do admire those who are resourceful & handy though!

I'm beginning to notice the feet on some are starting to get paler towards the accepted flesh colour.
