I hatched some eggs out under my Buff orpington and my cream legbar, my cream legbar failed and 2 weeks later my orpington got a chick, i then heard another one peeping so i give it to my cream legbar and it hatched. They raised them together and then Melow (the cream Legbar) didnt care much about being a mother anymore and left the Orpington to raise them. I tried for 3 yeas to get chicks but everything failed untill 2012. Heres the pics:

Those chicks turned into some good looking chickens. I like the shots where the one brown pullet looks a like a miniature of the hen.

What great photos - your BO hen was the fullest fluffy butt I have ever seen. Her lovely daughter has 'back' too. I really enjoyed seeing the chicks grow up It's amazing to see the chicks change from baby to adult.
