Oh god, I'd have one heck of a bill from IchibanKan.

Here was Ian's bento from last night.

Taco meat.
Tortilla chips.
Shredded cheese.
Tomatoes with taco sauce.
I stuffed a few more chips in there so he could make a big salad.

He said he sat down and enjoyed every bit of it

My hubby, what a peach. LOL

The taco assembly was a really good idea! I can't believe the stuff that my daughter will eat cold...may have to give this a try, maybe with black & red beans in taco seasoning (that seems less gross than cold ground meat, but she ate every BIT of her cold venison lasagna the other day).

So I got some quail eggs in today. The shells were so fragile, I ended up cracking/peeling a few (long story). At any rate, I didn't want to waste them, so I fried them up for everyone to try.

These are Button Quail eggs, being fried, obviously. I think I'd have to save a weeks worth of eggs to hard boil for Ian's bentos.

Maybe they'd make a better side dish type snack? I think that Purple Chicken is bringing me some quail on Sunday. He's sick with a cold and may not make it to the event we're supposed to both be at , then I have to wait some more.
