Best Automatic Chicken Door Openers???

Linda, thanks for your feedback. also noticing that you don't have hardware cloth on your coop. wondering how you like what you have...... need feedback on fencing also.....have had chicken wire on our inside coop and know that it is not enough to keep out predators and am getting ready to redo it.........

Oh, but there IS hardware cloth on that coop! The windows and the vents at the top are covered with hardware cloth.

The run is fenced with 200 feet of six foot tall welded wire and the really heavy duty, 3 foot wide chicken wire (used for stucco base) is bent in the middle for an apron so 18 inches up the fence and 18 inches on the ground protects it from digging predators. Bird netting covers the entire run. I haven't yet lined the inside of the fence with hardware cloth to prevent paws reaching through.... I need two hundred feet of it, had one 100 foot roll, so whatever is left out of that roll (minus the amount used for the windows & vents) will go up soon. Cash flow has dwindled, so the other 120 feet will have to wait a while... :(

I have the D20 add a motor and love it two screws and a string and your done, I can buy 3 of these for the price of the other ones, I have it plugged into a digital timer and it has never failed.

Yes that's right, very easy to install, mine has worked flawlessly since the first day, I did have a problem with the mechanical timer and replaced it with a digital timer with a battery back up precise to the minute now.
